OUR APPROACH
GLA:D (Good Life with Arthritis, Denmark) is an evidence-based program to increase the function and decrease the pain of those suffering from hip and knee osteoarthritis.
Together with La Trobe University, GLA:D training uses education and exercise to help improve with your daily activities. We help you better manage your symptoms so you can get moving again.
If you are suffering from osteoarthritis of the hip and knee you can benefit from our GLA:D group classes.
Combining education and exercise to assist you to cope with your condition, maximise your function without surgery, especially joint replacement.
We work on strengthening your legs, as well as learning to move correctly and manage symptoms to improve your pain.

WHY A PHYSIO?
Evidence overwhelmingly suggests that the first line of treatment for hip and knee osteoarthritis should be education and exercise.
We complete an initial 1:1 assessment to explain the program and collect data from your current functionality specific to you. Followed by a final assessment to measure your progress.
A combination of education sessions and group neuromuscular training sessions will help you improve your overall muscle control of your hip and knee joints over the 6 week period.
